Wow ! it has been over a month since i last blogged! Now to get back on the track, it seems like i have so So many interesting points of my life to pen down.
1. The Final Exam
I have been pretty busy, firstly due to the Final Exam of my Medical course here in MMA Moscow. Not because it’s an exam to pass, It is something that i need accomplish to prove myself. At this moment, an exam is not just paperwork results anymore, it is to let me prove it to myself, to convince my own confidence. Am I good enough for the tittle DR, for the MD behind my name?
Before this i seriously was having doubts-almost depressive!, maybe it was due to the many not-too-pleasant comments in Malaysian Hospitals about Russian graduates.I have been through many exams over the pass 6 years here in MMA, I am not the best student nor the most talented. But i am glad that i know that i deserve to graduate after sitting for the exam. PHEW~
Here in Russia, the exam system is not like in Malaysia, or US or UK etc. OK let me explain in detail ( since i am free now).
Russian Exam Style
In every subject we take, we will have to fulfilled some requirements before we are allowed to take an exam. These requirements usually include attendance % and also series of small test through out the semester. The test usually include a few written questions and finally an oral session with the teacher to elaborate on what we wrote, or maybe some extra questions (depending on the teacher’s mood). The oral part is also an opportunity for us to prove ourselves in case we did badly in the written part.
At the end of the semester, if we fulfilled the subject’s requirement, the teacher will sign our “Zacut Book” ( report card etc). Only with a Zacut Signature of that subject will we be allowed to sit for exams.
The test and exam questions are not like those in Malaysia where there will be a set of secret guarded paper kept in a safe. Russians have many variants of exam questions. Every student will get a different set depending on LUCK. yea so, its like Lucky Draw everytime. fun leh~
woo hoo~
ok lets not bore everyone with words! here are some pictures after our final exam! I have made some collages of it (for the slide shows during our graduation ceremony)
* the background picture are general scenes of our exam hall, and in the 2nd pic, the old guy’s statue, is the statue of Sechenov- the founder of my uni Moscow Medical Academy I.M Sechenov, also known as M1 in russia (1) ranked 1st in Russia.
Here is a video a fellow mate of mine took after the exam.
